Production Planning Software
Turn demand into plant-level production requirements. Planamind plans production in the same daily simulation as distribution and materials, so every plant knows what to make and every component is planned to support it.
Plants plan from last month's numbers.
When production planning is a separate spreadsheet, it lags behind demand, and materials and finance find out last.
Disconnected from demand
Production targets are copied from an old forecast, so plants make what sold last quarter rather than what will sell next.
Materials planned separately
Components and raw materials are planned in another tool, so a change to the production plan doesn't reach purchasing in time.
What-ifs take days
Comparing plan options means copying workbooks, and the financial impact is worked out by hand afterwards.
Four capabilities, one production plan.
Production is the plant tier of Planamind's daily supply simulation, between distribution and materials, all driven by the agreed demand plan.
What each plant needs to make, and when
Demand from depots and customers rolls up into plant-level production requirements, day by day. Orders are sized to cover safety stock and the order cycle, with batch sizes, minimum quantities and rounding applied, and clearly labelled as production rather than purchase.
Every production order, exploded to its components
Planned production orders are exploded through multi-level bills of materials, so components and raw materials are planned in the same run, with their own lead times, safety stock and expiry.
Test a production plan before you commit
Create a scenario project that copies your masters, supply data, price list, AOP and BOMs, then change the assumptions and see how the plan, stock and profit respond, without touching the live plan.
The P&L effect of the production plan
Production and stock values, cost of goods sold and gross profit are calculated from the plan and your price list, and compared with AOP, so operations and finance see the same numbers.
Know what the plan means before the plant does.
Ana explains the plan and flags what needs a decision.
Finished good heading for a stockout
Demand for a fast-moving line has outgrown its production requirement at Plant 1. The item is flagged for review with the orders already planned.
Revenue behind AOP
The revenue bridge breaks the gap into volume, price and mix, and Ana lists the actions most likely to close it.
Illustrative examples
The story behind the numbers, written for you. Any other view, built by you.
Planamind turns planning data into decisions: AI-written reviews that explain what changed and where to act, and reporting tools that let planners, finance and leadership answer their own questions without waiting for IT.
A written review of the month, ready before the meeting
Ana writes the commentary: demand changes, explained and unexplained anomalies, promotions and mix shifts, stock position, and the impact of weather, the economy and competitors. It ends with where to intervene by SKU and location, plus the opportunities and risks to year end. Download it as a branded PDF.
Prioritised actions on revenue, stock and accuracy
Revenue gap, stock health and forecast accuracy each come with Ana's analysis and a prioritised action list. The revenue gap view adds best- and worst-case scenarios for closing the gap to AOP, and accuracy diagnostics explain in plain English why the forecast missed.
Build your own view, no analyst needed
Drag and drop demand and supply data into a pivot: choose rows, columns and filters, switch to charts, add your own formula columns, and save views for yourself or the whole project. Export any view to Excel, or pick from around 18 ready-made reports.
Ask a question in plain English
On every screen, ask Ana about demand, accuracy, supply, freight, promotions, finance or a single SKU. She answers from your live data and only shows each user the products and locations they are allowed to see.
